Relaxation!
This was one of the first weekends I didn't have to be a Princess, and I loved it. It got pretty cold on Saturday, which made me happy! Lacey, Mike's sister came into town for the Christmas break. She just spent a month "down under," but was able to get back in time to celebrate her 22nd birthday in good ol' Texas.

Chuy and Kipper are still living and breathing together. It's amazing Kipper has any hair left at all. If the stress of having another dog around doesn't make it fall out, Chuy is determined to pull each strand out, one by one. Chuy got a bath and some clothes this week as well. He doesn't seem to mind wearing stupid shirts. Here's one example:
One more thing I had to comment on was Mike's burrito. He got this at a restaurant in Pearland, and wowzers! Although I don't doubt he could've taken down the whole thing...he actually only ate the inside. All this for $6.99! What a deal!

I'm a mess!
This past week has been very busy, but very enlightening for me. I've started my training with Nova Healthcare Centers. My official title is "Industrial Director." It's just a fancy name for sales rep. or account rep. I love love this new job. More on that later....
I had some sort of yucky "it's hot one day, and freezing the next" cold last week. Thursday and Friday were probably my "yuckiest" days. It was a little difficult to concentrate on my studying/tests/etc, but I think I'm still on track, as far as training goes.
I made it through the week, started feeling a little better on Saturday, got up and started getting ready for my 3 Cinderella shows and BAM! I was in the kitchen, coughed and my entire torso locked up. It was some sort of crazy back spasm or something. I couldn't breathe in too well, couldn't move much...it was crazy. I ended up taking a muscle relaxer, and Mike had to drive me to my shows. He's such a trooper!
That night, after one more pill and some wine, I felt "ok" enough to go to Mary Jo's 60th birthday party. We had a good time, even though I couldn't really dance. Oh well...guess I'll save the dancing for my 60th...if I make it...haha!

New Baby!
Well, I said I wouldn't ever ever ever buy puppy from a pet store. Ha! I was so tired on Sunday after my birthday party, and obviously insane as well. Mike and I went across the street from where we had lunch and looked at puppies at this pet store. Long story short, and many dollars later...I have a new puppy named Chuy! He's a DOLL! He's a "Poochin" which is half poodle, and half Japanese Chin. He looks like he's going to be more poodle than anything. Mike grew up with poodles, so he's all into Chuy. Kipper isn't quite as sure. I have to make sure Kipper does feel neglected...because he's still my "top dog!"
Check out these pics and tell me you would've left him in that sad little cage!

Eeek....I'm 30!

Well, I finally made it to my 30s. EEEK! I was a little down last night, but I feel ok today. I had a really good day, which made it easier to deal with the "aging." Mike woke me up to a cute little song, a really soft (AND HUGE!) bear and a card with a picture of my gift. He ordered me my SHSU college ring. It's beautiful! It's white gold with diamonds...like 10 of them! I had no idea he was ordering it at all. He was so proud of himself that he kept the secret from me. I am impressed by his thoughtfulness. He wrote "Just a little symbol of your great accomplishments." How sweet! I always wanted the ring, but I sort of forgot about it after I graduated. I think it will be here in a few weeks (takes a while for these darn things). I can't wait!
It's not only my birthday...but it's Thanksgiving as well. We went to Freeport to see his family, ate lots and lots, drove back through Galveston to pick up his tiki torches for my party, went to Walmart, Garden Ridge (nightmare!), my parent's house, Jack in the Box...and back home. I have just about everything I need for my party. Getting my hair highlighted tomorrow....wooo hooo!

New Floors!
I'm still getting things ready for my party on Saturday. Mike and I went to Sam's to check out the goodies. You could eat a full meal there for free with all those samples. I got a good idea of what I want for food. Mike's mom has the Sam's card, so I think we'll go back on Tuesday to shop. After Sams, we cleaned and cleaned, and I have the blisters to prove it. Mike's getting three new toilets installed today. I guess he thinks my friend's will judge him by his poopers...haha! Oh...and totally off subject...I will announce my new "employment venture" soon.....wooo hoo!
Oh, by the way...since this is the last week that I will be in my 20s....I will be posting "how to stay young" tips all week.
Monday's Tip: (For puffy eyes) This is where you may have heard about the benefits of hemorrhoid cream. Many people swear by it, claiming it reduces the swelling. Placing something cool under your eyes for fifteen minutes will restrict blood vessels around the eye. Cucumbers will do the trick. The caffeine in (wet) tea bags will decrease puffiness, as well.

85 Degrees in November?
Man, the weather here is crazy. We're still laying out by the pool while my buds in Boston are going to soccer games in 34 degree weather. Talk about global warming in our parts. Maybe the "warm" weather will stick around for my Luau after Thanksgiving..haha!
Speaking of my Birthday Luau, all of the Evites have been sent out. Mike's tile guy started today (Monday), and hopefully the floors...and most of the house, will be done by this weekend. We have a lot of cleaning up to do, but hopefully the majority of the house will stay tidy after my party.
This weekend was fairly casual. We (Mike, Carleton and myself) ordered in Chinese food on Friday and watched two of China's "shining basketball stars" play each other (Rockets Vs. Bucs). Rockets won! GO YAO MING! I had a Cinderella show Saturday morning, and thankfully, had the rest of the day off. We went to B-nack's birthday party that night at Pub Fiction. That place has thinned out a little...but for midtown, it's still a fairly cheap place to drink.
There was a little drama that night as well. The whole gang met near Pearland at Fox and Hound, the headed downtown. Mike was with me, Anthony was with Mole, and B-nack was riding with....hummm..I can't remember...but everyone just happened to be driving down St. Joseph's Parkway (into downtown) the same moment Jared and Amber were driving there. The story behind this is: Steve and Amber were married for about 8 years or so. Jared is Steve's BEST FRIEND. Jared and Amber were rumored to be "having something going," and now Steve and Amber are getting a divorce. All of these people are friends with Mike's group of friends...the same people who were driving into Midtown for Bnack's party. Jared and Amber deny they are seeing each other, but Mike has seen them eating lunch together in Pearland. Anyway...each of the three cars spots Jared's M3 BMW screaming down the street (he always drives like a maniac). Mole yells out the window to us "Hey, that's Jared and Amber!" Once they spot him, they slam on the breaks and bust a hard right. You know...if you're going to screw you husband's best friend...don't have him take you downtown! It's just crazy that out of 5 or so cars heading to midtown, 3 cars saw them together. Karma man, karma.
I spent most of Sunday trying not to throw up, since I was hungover and had a 3:30 Cinderella show in KATY. Man...I thought I lived in BFE! All went well though...since I could totally use the extra money.
